Bridging HERitage – Women’s Contribution to European Cultural Development, in cooperation with Municipality of Trstenik, is a two-year initiative led by the Municipality of Heerlen, Netherlands, in collaboration with eight partners from various European countries. The project aims to recognize and celebrate women’s often overlooked contributions to European cultural development across diverse domains, including art, literature, science, politics, and social activism. Through cross-border collaboration, Bridging HERitage seeks to promote gender equality in cultural representation and recognition by highlighting the diverse roles and achievements of women throughout European history. With a focus on empowering local communities, the project aims to actively engage women of all ages, ethnic and racial backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses in preserving, promoting, and celebrating women’s cultural heritage within their respective regions. Fostering collaboration and cultural exchange among partners, Bridging HERitage endeavors to develop a shared narrative that underscores the interconnectedness of women’s experiences and accomplishments across Europe.
